Here at Equalize Fitness, we know that mental health is just as important as physical health, which is why we offer a variety of mind body classes to focus on a state of overall wellness. Flexibility training will not only help to improve your performance of everyday activities, but will help to reduce stress, and the risk of injury.

HATHA YOGA 1

Hatha (ha = sun and tha=moon), is the umbrella term for all physical yoga practices.  This class provides well-designed and balanced sequences to build body heat, strength, and flexibility while creating stillness in the body and mind.  Body alignment is stressed.

PILATES MAT

Focuses on strengthening and stretching the abdomen, and torso without the use of equipment. Proper breathing techniques and muscle control are practiced.

PILATES SCULPT

Fluid workout that targets arms, legs, and core muscles. Mat work is intensified using fitness circles, gliders, stability balls, flex-bands and light weights. Class focuses on those tough to tone target areas.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Intermediate/Advanced Yoga, taught Katonah Yoga style. Practice focused on alignment, individual adjustments aimed at creating a frame work for the body to function efficiently.

STRETCH XPRESS

Focus on flexibility, strength, and balance by stretching all of the major muscle groups in this 30 minute class.

YOGA 101

Addresses the fundamentals of yoga. Whether you’re a beginner, or a seasoned practitioner brushing up on technique, this gentle class welcomes all skill levels and backgrounds.

YOGA DEEP WORK

An interval yoga-based training program that combines high intensity training (HIIT) with gentle stretch and muscular tension release. It is a yoga class taken to another level. All fitness levels are welcome and appropriate modifications are given where necessary.

YOGA FLOW

A form of yoga that links a sequence of poses with breath. This synchronization results in a steady workout, while increasing mental focus.

VINYASA FLOW

Coordinate movement and breathing with fluid, movement intensive practices. This dynamic yoga class provides for smooth transitions from one position to the next.
